Moore Networking’s project TrAC Apprenticeships Norfolk (TracAn) has been awarded £150,037 by the LIFT Programme. The project will support 45 businesses in rural areas to offer work trials and apprenticeships to those who are in Childrens’ Services care, or leaving care, or who are vulnerable for other reasons.
Funded by both LIFT and Skills Deal funding TrAC AN aims to support young people and businesses with a staged pathway to an apprenticeship. Project activities include:
- Work experience, apprenticeship and Traineeship opportunities
- Raising awareness of the benefits of employing a young person to employers
- Identifying and matching suitable young people to businesses
- Positively managing any challenges or barriers
The project aims to demonstrate that with additional support, vulnerable young people can complete apprenticeships in line with the national average.
